Can anyone go to UIC Library?
The UIC Library welcomes everyone. The Library has five locations among four Illinois cities, in addition to the UIC School of Law Library. Our physical Libraries are usually open. Our Special Collections and University Archives departments maintain separate visiting hours, perhaps with additional restrictions.
Is the UIC Library open?
The UIC Library is currently open to UIC-affiliated patrons only (with an active NetID). All patrons must have a current (“green”) UIC health check daily pass to verify vaccination or equivalent campus health requirements. Please see COVID-19 Details for UIC Libraries for more information.

How do I find a book in UIC library?
If you don’t want to look for a needed book on the shelf, you can sign in to your library account and click GET IT. Library staff will retrieve the item and hold it for you at the circulation desk at the UIC library of your choice.
Who is the UIC library named after?
Daley Library, named after his father, who served 21 years as mayor. Due to logistical issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the library is not currently open to researchers but a website dedicated to the Daley papers is expected to be up and running this fall.
How do I access my UIC email?
Access your UIC Email
- Go to gmail.uic.edu.
- You will see a University of Illinois at Chicago log-in page.
- Enter your NetID and password and click “Log in”.
Can UIUC students use UIC gym?
Students. Registered UIC fee paying students have access to all Campus Recreation Facilities. This includes the Student Recreation Facility, Sport & Fitness Center, and Outdoor Field Complex.
