The Honda 70 was first introduced in 1997 as the XR70. At the time it was a great play bike for big kids, girls, and even adults. The engine was basically the same as the Honda 50 with a bigger bore size, valves, and clutch. The best part was it remained a reliable 3-speed automatic.

The front fender and front number plate will fit. The shrouds, tank, and number plates are all separate pieces and will not fit either without some hacking of the plastics and modding of the bike.

Will loose valves cause low compression?
Low compression is not caused by loose valves. Too tight valves will keep the valve open. In your case, a leak down test would tell you if it is rings or valves.
What is the difference between a crf80 and XR80?
There is no comparison whatsoever between the two, outside of the fact that they’re made by Honda. The CR80 is 10 lbs. lighter. The four stroke CRF should make about 5 to 6 hp.
