How do I find my car key code?
Finding the key code
- In the documentation of the vehicle. Sometimes the key code is in the vehicle manual or on a label with the lock or key.
- On the key. It would be an engraved or hewn in code.
- On a metal plate in the glove department or elsewhere in the car.
- On the lock’s housing.
Can I start my car without a transponder chip?
Transponder chips are designed so they can’t be bypassed in any way, meaning you can’t start a car without the chip. An authorized dealership can read the required frequency from your vehicle, and create a replacement.

Do key blanks work?
Since the manufacturer used a similar lock and key style, (as an example a master padlock key) we may have key blanks for the original manufacturers blank; which sometimes wiht modification the blank may work in the lock. However, there is no guarantee it will work unless we have the padlock in hand to test the key.
