Is stamping ink permanent?
Multi-Surface Stamp Pads StazOn is the ultimate permanent ink. This highly versatile ink adheres to paper, metal, plastic, acrylic, glossy paper, shrink plastic, transparencies, leather, glass, ceramic and almost any non-porous surface. It only takes about 3-5 minutes to dry on most surfaces.
Are pigment ink pads permanent?
Pigment inks are water/glycerin-based, acid free, non-toxic, fade resistant, and more opaque than dye inks. Will not easily wash out of clothing. Will not dry on glossy or non-porous papers without embossing. Once embossed they are permanent and can be safely watercolored.
How long do ink stamp pads last?

Is Ranger archival ink lightfast?
As with any dye based product, they are not lightfast. These are NOT a fine art supply for hanging paintings on the wall that resist fading from nearby window light.
How do you seal ink on fabric?
Use a dry iron (no steam) and keep the iron flat over the signature for at least one minute. Do not rub which could smear the ink, but lift the iron up and down over the signature while applying firm pressure to prevent scorching. If you don’t have an iron, toss the signed fabric into the dryer.
Is archival ink waterproof?

What’s the difference between a pigment ink pad and a dye ink pad?
Whereas dye inks are more “liquid” and transparent, pigment inks are opaque and thick. Pigment inks almost always come with a spongy foam pad to enable the ink to be picked up easily by the stamp. Because it’s a thicker ink these pads dry out faster than dye inks and need to be refilled more often.

If used correctly and cared for a Rubber Stamp should last a lifetime.
How long do distress oxide inks last?
While pigment paints often remain unchanged in direct light for over a year, these thin particle dyes in Distress Inks start to fade in 1 to 3 weeks. By the one year mark most of these colors will have completely disappeared (as if they were never there).
