What is void storage good for wow?
It’s to keep non-stackable Soulbound non-unique items. There was once a time when you had to keep weapons and armor if you wished to transmog them. void storage lost its purpose when the transmog collections tab was added.
What can you put in Void Storage?
Put things in long-term void storage
- You can only store soulbound or account-bound items.
- Any items deposited will be stripped of enchants, gems, sockets, and reforged stats.
- You can’t store items unless they’re fully repaired.
- You can’t deposit stackable items.
What is void storage Shadowlands?
Void storage was brought in as a long-term storage solution for soulbound items only for exactly this purpose: holding on to lots of stuff that you want to keep for basically sentimental/collector reasons. Now with everything stored in your account-wide collections database, it’s kind of an obsolete feature.

Are Transmog items account wide?
The reputation requirement for transmogrification of armor, weapons and tabards has been removed and are now account wide. You need the reputation still to unlock the apperance, however no longer need the reputation to use the appearance. This means, you can use them on alts!
Does void storage work between characters?
Void Storage vaults will be per-character and not per-account, so it won’t be way for players to trade BoA items cross-realm.
Where can I buy Transmog gear in Dalaran?
Unlike capitol cities in Azeroth, Pandaria, and Draenor, Dalaran doesn’t have a specific place where the Ethereals have set up shop to offer transmog, void storage, and item upgrades. Instead, the transmogrifier is hidden away in a corner of the enchanting shop.
